HOW SCRIP WORKS

The school sells gift cards for a large variety of retailers.  Here is how it works: you buy a $100 IGA card from the school office, and its value at IGA is $100.  However, IGA donates back $5 of that $100.  The school earns $2.50, and your family earns $2.50.  We bank that money for you all year.  In July, you receive a statement with the total you earned during the year.  You can collect that money simply as “cash back” or you can apply it to the next year’s tuition.  This helps a lot of families with the July down payment.  In fact, we have a couple of families who applied over $500 to their tuition using this program and many families who reduced tuition costs for $200-$300.

Orders and money are due on Mondays (8:30 a.m.), and cards are distributed on Thursdays or Fridays (can be sent home with your children).

HOW TO SIGN UP AND START MAKING MONEY

You can simply order online at www.shopwithscrip.com.  You will set up an account and enter our enrollment code to get started. Please contact the school office for our enrollment code. I found that consistently placing my order online Sunday evenings works incredibly well.  We do keep some cards in stock in the school office (IGA, Wal-Mart, Marathon) if you forget to order and want to stop in to pick up a card or two.  We are also pleased to work with small, locally owned businesses which support the school (Rural King, Joe’s Pizza and Uptown Girls).

This program earns money for overall school operations, too, so it truly is a win-win fundraiser.  If you have any questions about getting started, please contact the school office.
